Tailor's Mark are an Australian company that allows customers to purchase custom tailored shirts and suits at a fraction of the price charged by high price tailors. The business was founded by two friends Rob Fisher and David McLaughlan, these guys had a vision to create one of the world’s biggest clothing brands leveraging the web, their love of fashion and a strategic partnership with a major supplier.
Clothes are fitted in a 1 on 1 personalised fitting session with an individual style consultant, measurements are saved on each customer's personal profile in the cloud for future use and 2-3 weeks later garments are delivered to the customer. Each item can be personalised down to the most minute detail, whether it is button styles, the thread color of stitches, linings, monograms, you name it.
5 different quality levels are available across the entire range, with the premium end allowing customers to pick the fabrics used by the most exclusive design houses in Europe, made to measure, at a competitive price.
The challenge? Communicating a subtle point of difference in a crowded market to stakeholders. The result? A successful process supported by a group of value adding investors.
