Our client was a highly successful software company providing the timetabling, reporting, payroll and attendance software to approximately 50% of the market in Australia with customers also across Asia. They had identified a competitor who represented a large number of schools and potential customers who they wanted to acquire. We were engaged to advise on the transaction, from pricing, dealing with the vendor through to completion, our role was to get the best price for our client with the least hassle.
We were able to secure a good price and assist with the integration of the vendor’s business and speedy migration of the customers across to our client’s software. This process was made possible through the terms of the acquisition whereby the acquisition an earn-out period ensuring the vendor was motivated to deliver the best outcome for our client in the most efficient manner.
